PIX DRIVE-BY-WIRE KIT

PIX Drive-by-wire Kit is specialized for drive-by-wire retrofitting or prototype car development. After retrofitting, the car can realize electronic control over steering, acceleration and deceleration. PIX Drive-by-wire Kit facilitates the process of rapid prototyping for self-driving product prototype and provides a simple platform to test various self-driving technology applications. 

 

Of high-precision and automotive grade, PIX Drive-by-wire Kit is dedicated to retrofitting traditional chassis or existing mass-produced cars into upgraded intelligent drive-by-wire vehicles, which are self-driving ready. PIX By-wire Kit has been installed and deployed on various vehicles, with good and safe performances.

PIX Drive-By-Wire Kit

A standard PIX Drive-by-wire Kit includes three components

  • Vehicle Control Unit (VCU)

  • Emergency Stop Device

  • Wiring Harness

The kit comes with a device that’s pre-installed with mode switch/emergency stop button and three indicator lights. Mode switch/emergency stop button is to switch modes/stop in case of emergencies.

MKZ Kit Overview

PIX drive-by-wire kit for Lincoln MKZ is specialized for retrofitting Lincoln MKZ vehicles on the market. After retrofitting, the kit is able to realize the control over vehicle steering, acceleration, deceleration, gear shifting, steering lights and also obtain user driving information. MKZ kit provides the solid basis for ADAS and autonomous driving development.

Lateral control

  • Static accuracy ≤ 0.1 degrees

  • Responding time ≤ 10 ms

  • Steering speed is divided into 250 levels (2°/s – 500°/s)

  • Human takeover for steering wheel to exit lateral control is supported

Longitudinal control

  • Throttle/brake opening control subdivision to 65535 level

  • Responding time ≤ 10 ms

  • Stepping on the brake petal to exit longitudinal control is supported

Gear position control

  • Free and flexible gear shifting between P, R, N, D, L

  • Responding time ≤100 ms

Light control

  • Turn signal control

  • Responding time ≤ 10 ms

After retrofitting, the kit is able to realize the control over vehicle steering, acceleration, deceleration, gear shifting, steering lights and also obtain user driving information. CR-V Kit provides the solid basis for ADAS and autonomous driving development.

  • Human takeover for steering wheel to exit lateral control is supported

PIX Drive-by-wire Kit for Lincoln MKZ has two service options

1.Engineering Service NOT Included:PIX engineers will NOT come onsite to help with the retrofitting. All the retrofitting needs to be done by the customer side. But PIX will provide remote assistant and instructions documentation. 

 

2. Engineering Service Included:PIX engineer will come onsite to help throughout the whole retrofitting process and make sure the customer’s car will work after retrofitting. Besides the original kit price, extra travel fees may occur
